Compassion is Strength

Each one of us at different times in our lives will encounter negativity and treatment that is less than kind. The temptation is to combat cruelty with an equal degree of cruelty. However, a person who can overcome the trauma of abuse in a way that allows them to maintain a level of compassion and hope is stronger than any tyrant or abuser. Their impact is greater in this world than those who allow scars to become permanently opened wounds.
