Grasp

Our moral balance is a constant struggle between altruism and the primal instinct to survive. Although we have evolved from simple beasts that exist only to defend our existence, the war continues to rage. With everything, we find religion in convincing ourselves that we love others only to surrender to grasping for ourselves when we are threatened with loss.
