Emergence

Adversity screams in our faces. It pressures us to relent... to give into its weight, convincing us that there is peace in surrender. It uses our fears and past traumas as a blade to shred us into so many pieces that it seems impossible to ever be whole again. Many times, we concede, shrinking sheepishly in reverence, bending the knee to what is clearly beyond our strength to bear. But there is power in the rest. As our spirit heals and regains stillness, a hardened version of us comes up from the shadows, reminding us that it's not the end. Something new comes forth.
