Fallen

No matter how furious the love... no matter how tightly we hold onto the smell of their skin... the light in their eyes... the moments that mean so much in that instant... all love must end. Seconds into the very thought of it, we romanticize the possibility of ending mutually... simultaneously. We put off thoughts about very likely possibility that one person will be left behind to mourn the loss of the other.
